Places to see and be seen, La Baule (France)

One of the most popular places on the main street in La Baule is Le Chalet Suisse. It's a café that doesn't do anything out of the ordinary but the coffee is good, the smell of freshly baked bread wafts across the street from a bakery and the street terrace is perfect for people watching!

At the end of Avenue Gén. de Gaulle sits the Chapelle Sainte-Anne. Once a chapel of worship it is now a cultural centre which holds exhibitions of art, photography and sculpture.

And right next door, one of the most popular restaurants in town, La Villa. It's open plan interior is decorated with artwork from a local artist and the music is modern but not too loud. Open every day, the restaurant is always busy but especially at weekends when it becomes almost impossible to get a table without a reservation. The food is good, of the creative style, and the prices reflect this. But definitely a place to be seen.

Hasta pronto!
